On the eve of Earth Day 2010, County Clerk highlights successful e-initiatives
April 6, 2010
WHITE PLAINS, NY: Westchester County Clerk Timothy C. Idoni believes “Putting an ‘e’ in front of any document filed in the Office of the Westchester County Clerk means saving tax dollars and protecting the environment.” As 2010 Earth Day approaches, Idoni shares the following e-initiatives completed since taking office:
- Paperless filing of corporate records (eCorps)
- Paperless filing of New York State Tax Warrants (eWarrants)
- Increased Access to Online Records at Westchester Records Online
- Maps added to Online Records Inventory
- eFiling of Tax Certiorari Proceedings
- eFiling of Uniform Commercial Code Statements (UCCs)
In highlighting the recent launch of eCorps, which will bring his office even further into the 21st century, Idoni proclaimed, “Replacing paper filings with electronic filings increases accuracy and efficiency for both our customers and our staff.” The New York State Department of State currently files approximately 8,500 paper corporate filings, including initial filings, amendments and terminations, with the Office of the County Clerk. Since eCorps has gone online, data and images have replaced one hundred percent (100%) of paper filings.
