New Process Saves Time and Money While Improving Customer Satisfaction
WHITE PLAINS, NY: Westchester County Clerk Timothy C. Idoni is pleased to announce the expansion of the Clerk’s Property Records Electronic Portal (PREP) system to accommodate the electronic filing of Uniform Commercial Code Financing Statements (UCC’s). This expansion of the PREP system will replace the stand-alone UCC e-filing system, so UCC e-filers can take advantage of all the features of the PREP System.
“I’m proud to announce that this new method of electronically filing Uniform Commercial Code statements will upgrade an older system by unifying the recording and filing of all land records in a single system,” Clerk Idoni stated. “The filing process has become even easier for our users and less expensive for the taxpayers as we will no longer need to maintain an additional system,” Idoni added.
E-filing of UCC’s is currently available in the PREP system and the existing UCC e-filing application will remain active until the end of the year. Users who already use the PREP system to record other land records will find that e-filing of UCC’s is as easy as any other document. Users who haven’t used the PREP system will find that it is very straightforward and easy to learn. Some advantages of e-filing UCC’s in the PREP system include:
- Entering your submitter contact information only once when you set up your account and not with each filing
- Tracking and viewing your document after submission
- Submitting as many UCC’s and UCC3’s as you like in a single transaction
- Utilizing the simplified payment process
- The uniformity with existing land records e-recording through PREP
Customers of the County Clerk’s Office will find e-filing of UCC’s in PREP to be a simple process with key improvements over our existing system. Please don’t hesitate to contact our PREP System Help Line with any questions or concerns at 914-995-3111 or email .
